SDPI felicitates party leaders, celebrates first electoral victory

Bangalore: The Karnataka state unit of Social Democratic Party of India felicitated the party's national and state leaders on 27th January in Bangalore. On the occasion the SDPI celebrated its first electoral win in Sawai Madhopur of Rajasthan where party candidate Mohammed Anees was elected president of the Municipal Council bagging 2448 votes and restricting his nearest rival BJP candidate to 1224 votes.

At Fallah Function Hall in Rahmathnagar of Bangalore on 27th January, SDPI national and state leaders assembled to celebrate the victory. The evening was kick-started with the welcome address by SDPI Karnataka state General Secretary Abdul Hannan. This was followed by felicitation which started with the party President E. Abubakar who was presented with the symbolic Mysore Peta (Turban). After him, other national and state leaders were presented with a shawl.



Addressing the gathering SDPI President E Abubakar called upon the youth of the nation to stand up for Justice. He said the country had a lot of hope from the youth of the country.

SDPI Vice President Advocate Sadiq Siddiqui from Bhopal said that his 70 years old shoulders are ready to bear the weight, but he would still need the help of the youth to move towards the bright future of our great nation. Speaking in fluent Kannada the Karnataka state President Abdul Majid gave a great moral boost to over 400 cadres who were gathered in the auditorium.



After the program, the delegates went on to inaugurate the office of Hebbal Assembly constituency.
