Popular Front Tamilnadu state conference - Brief update

A brief update about Popular front's conference - Feb 20, 21, Madurai

Popular Front of India's Samooha eluchi maanadu(Social Resurgence conference) - Feb 20, 21, Madurai is the first state conference of the organisation in Tamilnadu. Popular Front's state Vice president A.S Ismail is the General Convener and the State Secretary M.Nijam Mohideen is the convener of the conference. The conference inaguration public meeting was held in chennai on Dec 13th, 2009. Tamilnadu state president M.Mohamed Ali Jinnah presided the meeting. National Vice president A.Saeed, Tamilandu SDPI treasurer S.M Rafiq, General secretary A.Fakrudeen gave special speech. For the purpose of conference, a state office was opened in Dec 31, 2009 in Madurai by Tamilnadu state president M.Mohamed ali Jinnah. Several district offices were also opened consquently.

The publicity and other arrangements for the conference is functioning very well. Several committees were formed and they are working non-stop for the success of the conference. The conference message has reached all people from daily workers to high class people.

Till now around 4000 wall writings were painted all over Tamilnadu, 300,000 bit notices has been distributed ,13000 posters have been pasted, around 900 Auto flexes were hanging on autos, 25000 brouchures have been distributed, 70000 new year calendars were issued. Advertisements about the conference was also given in leading dailies Dinamani and Indian express. Advertisement is also planned in few other leading dailies.

More than 400 street meetings were conducted, 10 public meetings were held and 5 press meets in Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy and Tirunelveli were conducted. There is a good response from the Media and from the Govt. administration. There is a huge expectation from the public about the conference. Even for a street meet, hundreds of people attend. The Comibatore public meet witnessed thousands of people inspite of permission denied for the program. Later permission was granted for the same. The organisation's frontal movements - Campus front of India, National Women's Front, All India Imam's council are also working for the conference seriously. Social Democratic party of India has extended full support and they also reach the conference message to the public. The leaders of Popular Front have met several Social and political leaders and they have also extended support for the conference.

The area booked for the conference is larger than the area booked by even major political party's conference. Seperate arrangement for ladies in the conference ground is made. Several hundred buses and vans are booked for the transportation of people for the conference. Based on the present public response to the campaign of the conference, there is no doubt that Insha Allah feb 21 will witness a massive flood of people in the historic city, Madurai.

The conference would start by a flag hoisting on Feb 20th in the conference ground at 9.00am by State President M.Mohamed ali Jinnah. Followed by that a seminar on "Empowerment - Challenges and Prospects" would be held. After the seminar, an exhibition would be inagurated. On the second day, a massive people rally would march from the city to the conference ground. Followed by that a grand public meeting would be held and the conference would end on 10.00pm.
